To remove a label, click Delete Label. If the label was configured to apply protection, that protection is automatically removed. To remove custom protection from a single file, clear the Protect with custom permissions check box. To remove custom protection from multiple files, click Remove custom permissions.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint To remove an existing sensitivity label, unselect it from the Sensitivity menu. You wont be able to remove a label if your organization requires labels on all files.
From the References ribbon, select Insert Caption . To use a simple integer with no printed label, check the box for Exclude label from caption .
To Remove a Label from a File Right-click the file and click Classify and protect from the drop-down. Click Delete Label. In the window that appears, choose the appropriate reason for why you are removing the label. Type any extra information into the text box as appropriate.
Removing a Sensitivity Label Open the document. Across the top of the document a banner will appear similar to the following: Click Change Permission. De-select Restrict permission to this document.
Apply a generous amount of nail polish remover to a cotton ball, cloth, or paper towel. Apply the cloth and let sit until you can see the remover soaking in. Begin to peel off the label, use a sponge to scrub any residue left on the surface if necessary.
