In DITA tables, in place of the @expanse attribute used by other DITA elements, the @pgwide attribute is used in order to conform to the OASIS Exchange Table Model. The @pgwide attribute has a similar semantic (1=page width; 0=resize to galley or column).
The @chunk attribute can be used on grouping elements to combine multiple source documents into one result document. The result of evaluating the @chunk attribute on the element is equivalent to a single DITA document that contains the content of both ingroup1. dita and ingroup2.
In a Document Type Definition (DTD) an attributes type can be set to be NM (name ). For a value to be a valid NM the following must be true:- It must conform to the EBNF for Nm. In simple terms it can contain numbers letters, and :, , -, or . it can not contain spaces or whitespace.
Opening a DITA Map To open a map in the XML editor from the DITA Maps Manager, right-click it and select Open Map in Editor. Drag a DITA map file from your system browser and drop it in the XML editor. This will open the map in the editor.
The outputclass attribute can be used to specify a particular formatting characteristic during processing to an output deliverable document. Nearly all DITA content elements have an outputclass attribute.
The specialization hierarchy of each DITA element is declared as the value of the @class attribute. The @class attribute provides a mapping from the current name of the element to its more general equivalents, but it also can provide a mapping from the current name to more specialized equivalents.
