hello everyone welcome to my studio and today I thought I would take you through the steps that I follow when I mat and frame a fine art photograph and Iamp;#39;m also going to show you some of the tools that I use uh when I do that so that you can get an idea of uh the process involved uh so today Iamp;#39;m going to be framing this piece here uh this is printed on Canon fiber platine uh itamp;#39;s a kind of a panoramic format uh the outer dimensions are to be 15 by 30 and the print size is approximately 24 in wide by about 9 in high so that gives me around a two 2 and 1/2 inch border for my mat so to start you notice that I printed this on a roll this is 36 in wide and I position the print on the paper so that uh I have about two Ines on each side Iamp;#39;ll have to cut one end and I just do that instead of centering it so that I only have to cut on one side instead of cutting on both sides but usually I like to leave a nice border so that I can handle the print I can work with
