To insert a formula or equation in Word using LaTex, we go to the amp;quot;Insertamp;quot; tab and click on amp;quot;Equationamp;quot;. In the conversions section, make sure that amp;quot;LaTexamp;quot; is selected and then type in your LaTex equation. Once you are finished, click on the amp;quot;Convertamp;quot; dropdown and select amp;quot;Current Professionalamp;quot;. Alternatively you can also press the ENTER key. If you want to edit the formula using the LaTex code again, click on amp;quot;Convertamp;quot; and select amp;quot;Linearamp;quot;. You can use \scalebox to change the font size of your mathematical equations. For example, lets define new environments with the desired font sizes as follows: \NewEnviron{NORMAL}{% \scalebox{2}{$\BODY$} } \NewEnviron{HUGE}{% \scalebox{5}{$\BODY$} } Now, we can use the defined environments to scale
Insert a double backslash to set a point for the equation to be broken. The first part will be aligned to the left and the second part will be displayed in the next line and aligned to the right.
Luckily, its very easy to cross something out in a LaTeX expression. Simply use the \cancel{x} command, where x is whatever you want to cross out.
Bold text. To make a text bold use \textbf command: Some of the \textbf{greatest} discoveries in science were made by accident.
You can switch to bold font in mathematics by \boldmath , and switch back to normal font weight by \unboldmath . Inline math: $x^2 + \beta y^2 = 1$.
If you want different spacing, LaTeX provides the following four commands for use in math mode: \; - a thick space. \: - a medium space. \, - a thin space.
In this example, the text enclosed within the curly braces after \textbf will appear in bold when you compile the document. You can use this command for individual words, phrases, or entire paragraphs to apply bold formatting.
You can use \boldmath to switch to bold font for math contents, and \unboldmath to switch it off. They must be used outside the math code.
