A footer is text such as a name or page number that can be automatically displayed at the bottom of each page of a printed document. Compare header. [computing] Page Mode shows headers, footers, footnotes and page numbers.
To get started, click View Handout Master. The changes you make in Handout Master view appear on all your handout pages. On the Handout Master tab, click the header or footer box you want to edit and enter your text.
A footer is a section at the bottom of a document or webpage. It provides additional information, navigation links, copyright notices, and other relevant details. Footers are commonly found in various mediums like websites, emails, documents, and presentations.
Go to Insert Header or Footer. Choose from a list of standard headers or footers, go to the list of Header or Footer options, and select the header or footer that you want. Or, create your own header or footer by selecting Edit Header or Edit Footer. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
