so here we have a tree obviously and beneath that we have brand new clouds if you had asked me how to cut out this absolutely complicated tree a year or so ago I would have given you a fantastic trick all you do is double click on the right hand side of the tree layer go to the blend if section right here since we are removing the bright blue areas from the blend If drop down choose blue and we are removing it from the current lay so take the slide of the current left from right to left and just like that just like magic the sky just goes away but the edges are not nice if you just zoom in theyamp;#39;re very harsh so you know what to do hold the ALT key or the option key click on the slider to break it apart to make the transition smoother but still we need to do uh something with the edges work with the edges and this would be a fantastic technique however with time we have to develop our skills we have to update with the brand new features coming into Photoshop instead of doing all

Shallow depth of field is achieved by shooting photographs with a low f-number, or f-stop from 1.4 to about 5.6 to let in more light. This puts your plane of focus between a few inches and a few feet. Depending on your subject and area of focus point, you can blur the foreground or background of your image.

It is set by tweaking your cameras aperture settings. Shallow depth of field puts your subject in sharp focus and blurs the background or foreground. This is set by a wide aperture. Deep depth of field keeps everything in the frame in equal focus.
How to Add Depth To Photos using Photoshop Make a copy of the layer that you want to add depth to. Select the copy layer and change the Blend Mode to Screen. Hold down the Alt (PC) or Option (Mac) key and add a new layer mask. This creates a black mask that hides the information in that layer.
