hi this is gary with macmost now in todayamp;#39;s episode letamp;#39;s look at the track changes feature of iWork pages so here I am in pages o 9 now to turn on change tracking you go to edit track changes and this adds an extra bar here at the top of the document now letamp;#39;s say I want to make some changes here I select a word and Iamp;#39;m gonna start typing the replacement for it you can see what itamp;#39;s done is it struck out the word I had selected and replaced it with this word as I roll over it I get some information about when the replacement happened I can see some more information in the left sidebar if I click on this button here itamp;#39;ll expand the left side and it will draw an arrow little line here to the change and tell me a little bit about it one of these appears whenever I make a change so for instance if I were to make a formatting change here you can see it also adds it here and it says that it was formatted bold and appoints to the area that was

In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top, then click one of the default indent buttons in the Alignment section to increase or decrease the indent of an entire paragraph. If the text is in a text box, table, or shape, first click the Text tab at the top of the sidebar, then click the Layout button.
Lock or unlock a document Click the document name at the top of the page, then select or deselect the Locked checkbox.
Lock or unlock objects Click an object to select it or select multiple objects. Do either of the following: Lock: Choose Arrange Lock (from the Arrange menu at the top of your screen). Unlock: Choose Arrange Unlock.
You can lock a document to prevent it from being accidentally edited, moved, deleted or renamed.
Press Shift-Command-H on the keyboard. Choose Insert Highlight from the Insert menu at the top of your screen. (The Insert button on the Pages toolbar doesnt have the Highlight command.) Click Highlight in the review toolbar at the top of the document.
Alternatively, select one or more objects. In the Format sidebar, click the Arrange tab, then click Lock or Unlock (near the bottom of the sidebar). Tip: You can add buttons to the toolbar for locking and unlocking objects.
Important: Theres no way to recover your password if you forget it. Be sure to choose a password you wont forget, or write the password down in a safe place. If your iPhone has Face ID (the face detection feature) or Touch ID (the fingerprint detection feature), you can use it to open password-protected documents.
Simply open your document in Preview, click Tools Redact and then select the text or image you wish to redact. Save and then close the document, and thats it. Once you have closed the document, the redaction cannot be undone.
