hey folks steve here with you once again what is up today weamp;#39;re going to do a macbook air exciting um this is something i wasnamp;#39;t sure if i wanted to try but weamp;#39;re going to give it a shot or this is my personal macbook air i use it mostly when iamp;#39;m traveling itamp;#39;s a 2013 i think itamp;#39;s not a new computer by any means but boy does it work good um so weamp;#39;re gonna give it a shot and see if we can engrave on it now i know youamp;#39;re saying well you thought the growth forge couldnamp;#39;t engrave on metal well it canamp;#39;t but it can engrave on colored metal things and mac mac uses anodization with their aluminum so it gives it that gray that whatever specific gray appearance that they have thereamp;#39;s a space gray and then i donamp;#39;t know what the other gray is i canamp;#39;t remember so that is what it is and so we can in fact engrave through the anodization itamp;#39;s just not actually engraving the metal and you can

Can you get engraving removed?

Youll be relieved to know that yes it is possible to remove laser engraving from stainless steel and other metals including gold, platinum, sterling silver and softer metals such as nickel, brass, copper and aluminium.

Can an engraving mistake be fixed?

Sanding or Polishing the Error If the engraved mistake is shallow and on a suitable material such as wood, acrylic or some metals then you can simply sand and polish it away. Make sure you use masking tape to protect the area around the mistake before sanding with coarse grit sandpaper.

How do you buff out engraving?

Beginning with the finest sandpaper start to buff the engraved area, stopping to wash and buff dry at regular intervals and increasing the grit until the engraving is gone. If even the most coarse grit sandpaper is not removing the engraving, use a metal file.

Is Apple engraving permanent?

The engraver is started and the laser beam etches the design into the surface of the device. The laser removes material layer by layer, creating a permanent mark that is both beautiful and durable.

Can engraving be undone?

To remove an engraving, a jeweler has to laser off the metal in the area of the inscription to level out the texture of the metal.

Can you remove an Apple engraving?

To edit or remove an engraving or gift message, look for the Gift Wrap and Message or Engraving section in your order details below your item and select. if you cannot do it, you should immediately cancel your order and replace a new order, if you are lucky and the engraving is not yet done-the order will be cancelled.

Is it possible to remove apple engraving?

Once engraved, it cannot be corrected no matter how you word it to Apple.
