A timestamp is a digital record of the date and time when an event occurred, usually represented in a human-readable format. In computing, it is commonly used to track when data was created, modified, or accessed.
A binary date format, hereafter referred to as packed binary, is used and comprises a 2-byte data field. The first two bits of the data field are utilized as identifiers to enable the packed binary format to be identified. The remaining bits are employed as a binary value year indication.
The [2:] slice notation is used to remove the leading 0b . The zfill(8) method adds leading zeros to pad the string to a length of 8 characters.
Active Directory timestamps 18-digit: The timestamp is the number of 100-nanosecond intervals (1 nanosecond = one billionth of a second =1 Second = 1000000000 nanoseconds) since Jan 1, 1601, UTC.
Date binary representationThe SQL DATE data type holds the internal (binary) format of a decimal value. This value is an integer value that represents the number of days since December 31, 1899. Dates before December 31, 1899, are negative numbers, while dates after December 31, 1899, are positive numbers.
A binary timestamp specifies that two 32-but integers are written. Text specifies a text-based timestamp in the form %yyyy-%mm-%dd %hh:%nn:%ss or in the default date format if you have defined a new one on an NLS system.
Step 1: Convert Birth Year to Binary Convert the birth year from decimal to binary by dividing by 2 and recording the remainders. Example: If birth year is 1990: 1990 2 = 995 remainder 0. 995 2 = 497 remainder 1.
With the fractional part included, the format for these values is YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss [. fraction ] , the range for DATETIME values is 1000-01-01 00:00:00.000000 to 9999-12-31 23:59:59.499999 , and the range for TIMESTAMP values is 1970-01-01 00:00:01.000000 to 2038-01-19 03:14:07.499999 .
