In this video you are going to learn how to remove comments in Word and you are also going to learn how to keep the comments but only hide them. If you want to remove only a single comment, click on the comment you want to delete, go to the Review tab and in the section Comments click on delete. If you have multiple comments and you want to remove all comments at once, click on the dropdown arrow under the delete button and then click on Delete all comments in Document. If you dont want to delete the comments but rather hide them, then go to the section called Tracking and in the dropdown menu choose Original. Use Microsoft Words Document Inspector to anonymize comments, track changes and file properties. These instructions are for Windows Office 365. NOTE: It is not possible to restore the data that the Document Inspector removes, so save a copy of your original document before anonymizing.
Open a document that contains comments. To filter comments, select the Comments button in the menu bar, and then select the Filter down arrow.
Is there a Word strikethrough shortcut? Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected. Press OK. The text will now have a line through it.
Step 3: Hiding the comments Open your document in Microsoft Word. Go to the Review tab at the top. In the Comments section, select the Show Markup dropdown menu. Uncheck the Comments option to hide all comments in your document. To hide individual comments, click on each and select Delete Comment.
How do you delete all resolved comments in a document? MS Word has the option but it seems like it is missing from Writer. You can hide resolved comments by unticking menu item View Resolved Comments.
To search text in comments, you need to open the Desktop version of the Word. To do that, click on Reviewing, then Open in Desktop App. Once within the Desktop app, you can search text everywhere (including the comments) by Ctrl + F.
