In order to create a crossed-out text, use the tilde in Markdown twice in a row, followed by the respective text and then another two tildes. ~~This text is struckthrough. ~~ This one isnt. ~~This text is struckthrough.
It is useful to comment out text in the source document, which will not be displayed in the final output document. For this purpose, we can use the HTML syntax . The comments will not be displayed in any output format.
Heres how you can do it: Select the code block that you want to comment-out. Press the Cmd key and the / key at the same time. This will comment-out the selected code block.
To strikethrough words, use two tilde symbols ( ~~ ) before and after the words.
To create a fenced code block that spans multiple lines of code, set the text inside three or more backquotes ( ``` ) or tildes ( ~~~ ).
You can comment lines in R Markdown enclosing them with . --- title: R Markdown Tips and Tricks output: htmldocument ---
