So, how to find an SD card on Mac? All you have to do is insert the card into the card slot either built into your Mac or an externally connected card reader and navigate to the Finder. You should see the card in the sidebar.
To open an SD card on Windows 10, follow these steps: Connect SD card to your computer. Open File Explorer. Select This PC from the left navigation. Look for the drive that corresponds to your SD card under the Devices and drives section. Double click the drive to open it.
If your SD card is not showing up in Finder, maybe the Preferences for external disks have changed. Change the settings for external disks to view SD card in Finder on Mac desktop. Steps to change external disks preferences on Mac: Open Finder Preferences General tab.
Go to Finder Preferences General and make sure the External disks option is selected. Then go to the Sidebar tab and make sure the External disks option is also chosen. Restart your Mac. Head to Launchpad Disk Utility and look at whether the SD card is listed in the sidebar.
