How to get rid of hold for authentication?

To fix this issue via the Keychain Access application: Launch Finder then go to Applications Utilities Keychain Access. Select the Passwords category. This will show all your saved passwords. Find the printer name and right click to delete the password. Send a document to print.

How do I turn off user authentication on Mac?

Apple menu - System Preferences - Users and Groups and select Login Options. Select Automatic Login and pick the user you use to login. Mind you, authentication will still be needed to software, but at least the system will login as you.
