What is the shortcut for strikethrough in Google Docs? You can also use a keyboard shortcut to strike your text. To do this, highlight the text you want to cross out and simultaneously press Alt+Shift+5 on your keyboard. To undo a strikethrough, hit the same combination of keys again or undo the action.

Scroll down under the File menu and select Info. Select Protect Document. Choose your security method, Encrypt With Password. In the small window, type in your password and follow the prompts.
Open the shared Google Doc. Click on the blue box reading Share in the top right corner, and then, in the bottom right corner of the popup window, click Advanced. On the new popup menu that appears, to simply unshare the Doc entirely, click the X next to the name of each person you want to remove access from.
Google Drive does protect user files with encryption and allows users to enable two-step verification to their Google accounts. However, since your Google Drive account is connected to the entire G Suite ecosystem and many devices, it can be dangerous to use Google Drive to store passwords.
To hide your name on Google Docs, edit the document using an incognito window in your browser. Alternatively, log out of your Google account before accessing the document.
Protect a document with a password Go to File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. Type a password, press OK, type it again and press OK to confirm it. Save the file to make sure the password takes effect.
How to password protect Google Docs. Download your Google documents or Google Sheet by pressing File Download Microsoft Word/Excel. With the document open in Word/Excel, press File in your ribbon, then Info. Click on the Protect Document button and choose Encrypt with Password from the list.
