hello there and this weamp;#39;re going to discuss about access control list acl now acl is a set of rules we create uh to block a network for example we have a uh this network and the snapper it wants to block this network for example this is a sales sales network this is uh accounts network this is marketing network and we want the sales network not able to communicate with account snapper but sales network can communicate with marketing network so how itamp;#39;s possible how can we do that uh is it possible really to block an effort with acl so we will learn about that so weamp;#39;re going to permit the snapper weamp;#39;re going to deny the snapper okay so now if we want uh this network not to communicate with uh accounts network then we have to enable uh acl to near the destination means uh this router is near to the uh means the design network means we donamp;#39;t want this network to uh communicate with account snapper thatamp;#39;s the reason we have to uh enable this

Working with ACLs and ACL rules With inbound rules, you can allow or deny traffic from a source IP range, with specified protocols and ports. With outbound rules, you can allow or deny traffic to a destination IP range, with specified protocols and ports. ACL rules are prioritized and considered in sequence.
in and out keywords specify in which direction you are activating the ACL. in means that ACL is applied to the traffic coming into the interface, while the out keyword means that the ACL is applied to the traffic leaving the interface.
The attributes active, expiration, forbiddentags (ftags), roles, and trustedclients (tclients) place additional restrictions on accessing the service through the username. The username. Only one username can be specified per USER tag in a file-based ACL or record in the user table for a JDBC-based ACL.
any packet coming to the router is considered as inbound. any packet going out of the router is considered as outbound. in acl, we usually use it at interface, any packet entering to interface is considered as inbound by ACL.
Inwhen you are running traffic coming INTO the interface through an ACL. Outwhen you are running traffic leaving the interface through an ACL. If you want to filter packets that is coming in, you want to use the in; and if you want to filter packets that is coming out then you use the out.
if the data is coming in to the SAP System that is called as an inbound interface and if the data is going out from SAP system it is called an outbound interface .
To control access to an interface, use the ip access-group interface configuration command. To remove the specified access group, use the no form of this command. ip access-group {access-list-number | name}{in | out} no ip access-group {access-list-number | name}{in | out}
