Begin by opening the Google Sheet containing the column with full names that you want to split. Select the cell containing the full name that you want to separate. In the formula bar, enter the following formula: =SPLIT(cell, ). Replace cell with the reference to the cell containing the full name.

How to split text in Google Sheets Select the column or cell range with the text you want to split. Click Data, and then select Split text to columns. Select the column or cell range with the text you want to split. Click Data, and then select Split text to columns. By default, Google Sheets automatically tries to guess how you want to split your data and separates the text ingly.
