When you download the Zotero Connector for Chrome or Firefox, youll be able to use Zotero with Google Docs. Note: The first time you use Zotero with Google Docs you will have to link it to your Google Drive account. It may ask you to repeat this step every time you start using Zotero with a new document.
Consider these tips to help you change margins in Google Docs: Fixing the paper size: Sometimes the margins are incorrect because the default paper size is Letter when the printing size is A4. You can fix this setting by going to File and Page setup and changing the paper size to A4 (8.27 11.69).
You can clear your browsing data, cookies, and cached files. Learn how to clear your cache and cookies in Chrome. After you clear browsing data, you may need to sign in to your account again. Tip: If you use a different browser, you can also clear cache and cookies on Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
If the Zotero connector for your browser is not working, try the following: Deactivate other citation manager browser extensions you may have installed. Remove the connector extension, restart your browser, and reinstall the extension. Update and restart your browser.
The issue here would be the Zotero Connector in your browser. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling the connector, make sure Google Docs support is enabled in the Advanced pane of the connector preferences, and provide a Report ID from the connector if youre still not seeing a Zotero menu in Google Docs.
If youre encountering issues with Google Sheets not loading files, below are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the problem: Check Your Internet Connection. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies. Disable Browser Extensions. Sign Out and Sign Back Into Your Google Account. Use Incognito Mode. Check File Permissions.
Using Zotero with Google Docs When you open Google Docs in a browser that has a Zotero connector installed, you will see a Zotero option added to your menu. Interacting with the Zotero functionality for the first time in a document will prompt you to authenticate the plugin with your Google account.
If the citation dialog does not appear, look through open Zotero windows -- sometimes the citation dialog fails to pop open in front of the Google Docs browser. If it still does not work, restart Zotero and your browser, and submit a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to cite in Google Docs.
