the difference here between film and imaging systems is related to the dynamic range so if we look at each of these blots these are these each of these blots are all exactly the same blot actually and itamp;#39;s the same blot itamp;#39;s a dilution series of two different proteins that are diluted uh in a two-fold dilution series to 10 dilutions and then imaged with film uh and with a variety of Imaging systems the the the the most important thing that I want you guys to know here on this slide is just that the difference between film and imaging systems for dynamic range is night and day so film even after a 5 minute exposure uh starts to pit out at about the seventh delution whereas if you look at uh Versa do or chid do or if you were using uh your fough system youamp;#39;d be able to see all the way down to almost the last solution so you see we can see the ninth delution with all of these uh all of these imagers as opposed to as opposed to with film for for much less exposure t
