When you’re doing research for one of your classes, it’s important that you have the most reliable information possible. The internet is a great place to start because there’s so much information available. However, it’s important to remember that ANYONE can post online, which means that some of the information you find on the internet is not going to be trustworthy. Today we’re going to talk about the criteria you should use to make sure that you only use sources you can trust. If you’d like to follow along, you can find the link to this presentation below the video. There are six basic criteria for evaluating websites: Purpose and audience, authority and credibility, accuracy and reliability, currency and timeliness, objectivity or bias, and structure and navigation. What is an important criticism of the Rorschach Inkblot Technique? It penalizes less intelligent or less vocal people for not giving many answers. It rarely gives us information we could not easily find in other ways. Almost any answer to any item is typically regarded as normal.
This test was designed to look for patterns of thought disorder in schizophrenia and has evolved to include other areas, like personality, emotional disorders, and intelligence. The Rorschach has been standardized using the Exner system and is effective in measuring depression, psychosis, and anxiety.
In the Rorschach inkblot test, the person is asked to describe what they see in ambiguous inkblot images. The therapist then interprets the persons answers. This projective test often appears in popular culture and is frequently portrayed as a way of revealing a persons unconscious thoughts, motives, or desires.

sociopathic personality disorder. Rorschach as an individual who fulfills seven criteria that can be categorized as suffering from Sociopathic Personality Disorder.
Because of the lack of standardization, scoring and interpretation seem subjective. Perhaps the most common criticism against projective testing is that it lacks objectivity. Projective tests without standardized scoring rely on the psychologists interpretation of the data.
Based upon published reports, the Rorschach can be regarded as a reliable and valid psychometric instrument, given that certain conditions are met. One is that it is administered by an experienced, competent, and trained examiner. Another condition is that a known and structured method of assessment be used.
Rorschach test is used for psychological evaluation and to provide data about cognition and personality variables such as motivations, response tendencies, cognitive operations, affectivity, and personal/interpersonal perceptions of an individual.
Well, heres the problem: The Rorschach blots (not to mention the answers) are supposed to be kept secret. Many psychologists were outraged, believing that having the information out there would make the test worthless, since test-takers could memorize the answers and cheat.
In pathognomic signs in Rorschach responses, mutilation, response impotence, confabulation, perplexity, position response, contamination, and self reference was higher among patients with mania while perseveration response was higher in paranoid schizophrenia.
