The Pages app on iPad, iPhone and Mac will now let you do a Mail Merge. That means you can create multiple documents, with different details in each one, with just a few taps. Hereamp;#39;s how it works on iPad. As you can see Iamp;#39;ve got two documents open. On the left hand side is a letter I want to send out to students in my school and on the right hand side is a spreadsheet which contains data such as what class theyamp;#39;re currently in, what class theyamp;#39;re going to next academic year and their Showbie code to join their new Showbie class online. Obviously these arenamp;#39;t real details or real Showbie codes! I want to create a letter for every child, but I donamp;#39;t want to have to copy and paste all that information for each class. Change the number of rows or columns in the table: Select the table, tap. , tap Table, then use. next to Rows or Columns, or tap the number of rows or columns to enter a new value. Insert or delete a row or column within the table: Tap the row number or column letter, then tap Insert or Delete.
Set a column to a specific width Select the column or columns that you want to change. Go to Home Cells Format. Under Cell Size, select Column Width. In the Column width box, type the value that you want. Select OK.
Format columns of text Set the number of columns: Click the arrows next to the Columns value field. Set column spacing: Double-click the values in the Column and Gutter columns, then type the width for the column. Set different column widths: Deselect the checkbox next to Equal column width.
Insert a line between columns on a page Choose Page Layout Columns. At the bottom of the list, choose More Columns. In the Columns dialog box, select the check box next to Line between.
Format columns of text in Pages on Mac Do one of the following: For the whole document: Click in any text in the document. In the Format sidebar, click the Layout button near the top. Use the controls in the Columns section to set the number of columns and their spacing:
Change the width of columns Click and drag across the column headings for the columns that you want to change. Note: If you have to change the width of only one column, you dont have to select it first.
For column width, select the column(s), press Alt + H + O + W. Enter the desired width in points (e.g., 25), and press Enter. The above shortcuts are useful when working with financial models that require standardized row heights or column widths for consistency and readability.
Click a cell in the row or column you want to resize. In the Format sidebar, click the Table tab. In Row Column Size, click the Height and Width arrows to set the size you want. The entire row or column is resized.
