hi everyone devon knight from pragmatic works here and in todayamp;#39;s video weamp;#39;re going to be looking at a special feature with inside of power automate to show how we can populate a word template and so my goal here is i want to be able to automate the populating of say something like a certificate of completion so what i have on my screen right here is actually a legitimate certificate of completion that you might receive if you were to attend a pragmatic works class and what iamp;#39;d like to do is i want to automate it so that whenever someone requests a certificate of completion that i can just simply have them fill out a form it populates in information like their name their class they attended the date that they attended it and all that information will automatically be populated into team i shouldnamp;#39;t say in the teams but into a pdf that is then later emailed to them so how do we get started with something like this if we want to make a template out

For Word 2007 and later, just press the key combination Alt+F9. For earlier versions of Word, follow these steps: Open the document where the field codes are displayed. Press Alt+F9 to turn off field codes currently on the page.
What to Know Temporary reveal: In Word, go to the ribbon and select Home. Choose the Show Formatting Symbols icon to toggle marks on and off. Permanent reveal: In Word, go to the ribbon and select File Options Display. Select Show all formatting marks OK.
To change from the field code to the merge field, or vice versa, in a Microsoft Word document: Press ALT + F9 to toggle Field Codes on/off.
You would go to the Field Reference page, and click the icon highlighted below for the First Name field, to copy that field code. You would then paste the field code into your Word document so that the sentence would look as follows: Thank you, {{firstname}}, for hiring our firm.
The complete list of fields available in Word is located in the Fields dialog box. To open the Fields dialog box, click on the Insert tab, then click on Quick Parts in the Text group and select Field. Here you can insert and modify fields, as well as view and hide field codes.
Alt + F9 toggles all the fields in the document. Shift + F9 toggles the selected field.
Position the insertion point where the field is to be added. Choose Insert - Quick Parts - Field. Select a field category from the Categories list. Select a field from the Field names list.
