When viewing it by month, which is the standard setting, these dashed lines are very distracting visually. A quick search shows that this is meant to indicate an unaccepted meeting invite--but these are appointments created by this account, not a meeting invite sent to another account.
If multiple calendar items are planned for the same date you will see 3 small dots on the bottom of the calendar date. Select the 3 dots to view all items scheduled for that date in the right side pane.
The slashed lines means they have pending events in their calendars. For example, I have sent a meeting to user 1 and user 2. User 1 has accepted the meeting, while user 2 hasnt.
The black dots indicate that the time slot is marked as Out of Office in Outlook.
Blue Stripes: The block of time is tentatively booked but not confirmed. Black White Stripes: No information about the calendar has been published by the server.
You will see purple bars which indicate people are busy (appointments in their calendar). Vertical white space shows times when all attendees are available. You can use the scroll bar at the bottom to change dates.
The Steps are as follow: Go in the calendar page view. Select view settings. Select other settings. Font set something as 14 pt. for example to check if it is appropriate for you ok.
