How to create timesheets for employees Select Employees from the left hand menu. Select Manage Employees and select Create Timesheets. Choose an employee from the Select an Employee field. Select the Week / Fortnightly ending date and whether you want to Show/Hide Timesheets Costs.

Heres how to run this report: Go to the Reports menu and then select Jobs, Time Mileage. Choose Time by Job Detail. Click the Customize Report button. In the Columns field, type item and then check Payroll Item. You can uncheck the Billing Status column by unchecking it. Adjust the Dates. Click OK.
Note: Single Time Activity and Weekly Timesheets are only available to QuickBooks Online Plus or QuickBooks Online Essentials users.
Update in QuickBooks Online Go to Settings ⚙. Select Account and settings. Select Time. In the General section, select Edit ✎. From the First day of work week ▼ dropdown, choose the day your work week starts. Select Save, then select Done.
View time Go to Get paid pay then select Time (Take me there), or go to Time (Take me there). Select Time entries. From the dropdown, select Customer, Employee, or Contractor. Adjust the displayed date range if necessary. Select an individual customer, employee, or contractor to see the timesheet details.
To recap, employees should fill in their employee timesheets as soon as they can, at least daily, while the tasks and the time they spent on them is fresh in mind to ensure that their time logs are correct and reliable.
