today Iamp;#39;d like to show you how I apply a lap zip Iamp;#39;ve got this example here of the Dorothy dress which is a pattern that is available on my website and the Lapp zip has fabric covering one side so it kind of conceals zip but thereamp;#39;s a couple of techniques that make this much easier but itamp;#39;s a nice finished with the back of dresses like this one okay so weamp;#39;re putting the zip in the Dorothy dress and with the Dorothy dress you make the whole dress up and put in a zip in is virtually the last process so thatamp;#39;s the point at which this dress is at so what the trick I think the trick to getting a really easy application for a lap zip is to get the pressing right at this stage so what we want to do weamp;#39;ve got a 1.5 seam allowance on this dress pattern so we want to on the side where the zip is going to be butted up to the teeth we want to just press this in slightly less than 1.5 so Iamp;#39;m going to press this in 1.3 so Iamp;
