To protect your information, learn how to redact in Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
Simply open your document in Preview, click Tools Redact and then select the text or image you wish to redact. Save and then close the document, and thats it. Once you have closed the document, the redaction cannot be undone.
Cut out the text that needs to be redacted. Use scissors to cut out all the text you need to redact. Blacking Out Text Manually Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the ab highlighter icon in the Font section. Click the black box in the drop-down menu. Click the black line below the highlighter icon. Repeat this process of highlighting with black to cover text.
