4 Easy steps to redact any text in a document Click Security on the main Power PDF ribbon. Locate the Mark Redaction option and click. Using your mouse cursor, highlight the text you want to redact. Click Apply Redaction, then be sure to save a copy of the document.
To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document. You can also specify general patterns, such as phone, Social Security, or credit card numbers.
This can be one of the easiest ways to redact a PDF without docHub Pro. Open your chosen PDF in Preview. In the top right, there should be a Markup icon, click it. A reminder will appear in a dialog box, requesting you save a copy of your PDF, click OK. Select the text you want to redact.
To do this, right click on the button, go to Properties, then to the Actions tab. Select the trigger of Mouse Enter and the Action Show/Hide Field. Click the Add button and select the appropriate text field to hide and then click OK.
4 steps to remove PDF metadata. Open the PDF document. Click the top left Menu (Windows) or File (macOS) Document Properties. Edit or delete metadata properties - you can also check additional metadata fields in the Additional Metadata menu. Press OK and save the PDF.
Cut out the text that needs to be redacted. Use scissors to cut out all the text you need to redact. Make sure you find every mention of the sensitive information in the paper document and cut it out. NOTE: You should then shred the paper clippings to ensure the cut-out information cannot be traced or found.
5 Quick Steps for Redacting PDF Documents Open the PDF file with data you must censor. Select the Security tab from the main ribbon. Click Mark Redaction. Select the text you wish to redact, which places a red border around the text. Click Apply Redaction on the Security ribbon to black out the text.
