In todayamp;#39;s video, I will define the difference between mania and hypomania and Iamp;#39;ll answer the question of can your diagnosis change between bipolar one and bipolar two? This video is to help you understand what mania is. Itamp;#39;s not to help you diagnose yourself. If you think you may have bipolar disorder, you should see a doctor or therapist to be evaluated. Bipolar disorder is really defined by the presence of mania or hypomania. Answer and Explanation: Crooks lives in the stable because black workers are not allowed to bunk with the white workers. Both Lennie and George are white men, as evidenced by the fact that they are allowed to live in the main bunk house.
Carlson has a bold, commanding presence. Though he seems well-mannered and friendly in his initial appearance in the novella, he is extremely blunt and not afraid to speak his mind, which is often at the expense of other characters feelings. Carlson seems to have a good relationship with the other ranch workers.
John Steinbeck, the author of Of Mice and Men, describes Lennie as a large, strong, lumbering, simple-minded man who is usually unaware of his actions and surroundings. His favorite thing to do is pet soft things. When we first meet him, he has a dead mouse in his pocket that he is petting with his thumb.
The character of Lennie has learning difficulties and alsoas identified by some researchersexhibits many characteristics of autism.
Crooks is the only black man on the ranch and experiences a docHub amount of racism and discrimination. He is lonely and isolated, making him resentful and bitter towards the other characters, as seen when he tries to torment Lennie about George abandoning him.
Aunt Clara Lennies aunt, who cared for him until her death, does not actually appear in the work except at the end, as a vision chastising Lennie for causing trouble for George. By all accounts, she was a kind, patient woman who took good care of Lennie and gave him plenty of mice to pet.
Lennie is described as being Georges opposite a huge man, shapeless of face, with large, pale eyes, with wide sloping shoulders; and he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the way a bear drags his paws. I presume Lennie was following George as he always does.
Crooks is the stable hand who takes care of the horses and lives by himself because he is the only black man on the ranch. Along with Candy, Crooks is a character used by Steinbeck to show the effects of discrimination.
