So if you guys want the pitchfork, nowamp;#39;s the time to do it. Or I guess the last few months have been that time to do it because, you know, weamp;#39;re back talking about bitmap. Yeah. So put your pitchforks down. Actually. Put them away. Put them away. Turn off the fire. Yeah, just, you know, lock them up for the next pitch rally, whatever that ends up being. So weamp;#39;re back on the bitmap train because thereamp;#39;s a lot of good reasons to be. I mean, the metaverse on bitcoin thesis is never, like, gone away in any shape, form or fashion, right? The cargo ship Dali headed out of Baltimore for Virginia on Monday, nearly three months after it lost power and crashed into one of the Francis Scott Key bridges supporting columns and caused the bridge to collapse. The 984-foot Dali started moving shortly before 8:30 a.m. with four tugboats.
The Key Bridge collapsed on 26 March after the Singapore-flagged Dali lost power and collided with it. Six workers originally from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador who were making repairs on the bridge at the time of the crash were lost in the water and presumed killed.
ing to the preliminary report, at 1:25 a.m. on March 26, when the Dali was a little over half a mile away from the bridge, a primary electrical breaker that fed most of the ships equipment and lighting unexpectedly tripped, causing the ship to lose electrical power and experience a blackout.
The power outage was caused by a crewmember mistakenly closing an exhaust damper, causing the ships engine to stall, the report issued by the National Transportation Safety Board said.
In a 24-page summary of findings so far, investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board said the Dali cargo vessel had experienced at least two electrical failures on the day before the accident, causing the crew to adjust the configuration of the electrical system about 10 hours before setting out.
Investigators release preliminary report on Dali incident The first blackout at the port occurred when a crew member mistakenly closed an inline exhaust damper, which ultimately caused the engine to stall, the report said. The second one occurred due to insufficient fuel pressure.
Electrical breakers that fed most of the Dalis equipment and lighting unexpectedly tripped, causing a blackout\loss of electrical power, including the main engine cooling water pumps and steering gear pumps. Most bridge equipment also lost power, and the VDR lost vessel system data feeds.
