in this video ill show you how to block out or redact texts from a pdf for free without using docHub welcome to this video my name is david i hope youre well wherever you are heres the pdf i need to redact some sections from lets assume we want to redact this particular title or maybe anything else inside here so how can we do it without using docHub robot pro dc we can reduct or block out the text using an application called libreoffice draw and this is an application of covered on the channel a couple of times so ill leave a link to libreoffice the whole suite but this is libreoffice draw so what we need to do is we need to open our pdf this particular pdf file inside libreoffice lets just close it out so that we dont get conflicts that another application is using that particular pdf and then go to file open the particular pdf that we want to reduce the text or block out the text from click on open and this is our text so we want to potentially lets say redact t

To protect your information, learn how to redact in Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
However, if you have an Apple Mac, then the in-built Preview app has a redaction tool which is really easy to use. Simply open your document in Preview, click Tools Redact and then select the text or image you wish to redact. Save and then close the document, and thats it.
If you have access to the original file, removing redactions in a PDF is easy. Open Acrobat Pro and select the PDF file. Click on the Edit tab at the top of the screen. Select Redact Text Images. Once you remove the redactions, the colored bars will go away, revealing the information underneath.
To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document. You can also specify general patterns, such as phone, Social Security, or credit card numbers.
In Preview, visit Tools - Redact. Then just drag the + cursor over the text you wish to redact after dismissing the warning dialog. No need to draw around the text with that misleading + cursor symbol.
Heres how to black out text in a PDF: Open your PDF in docHub. Select Tools, then Redact. Select text. Either double-click to select the text or drag to select lines of text. Apply redaction. Once youve selected the text you want to remove, click Save to apply the changes and save the document.
You can certainly black out text in your PDF without redacting it. In docHub Pros Protect toolbox, you can also set the option to black out the marker. You can go to the Protect Tool to hide sensitive information.
