in this video ill show you how to block out or redact texts from a pdf for free without using docHub welcome to this video my name is david i hope youre well wherever you are heres the pdf i need to redact some sections from lets assume we want to redact this particular title or maybe anything else inside here so how can we do it without using docHub robot pro dc we can reduct or block out the text using an application called libreoffice draw and this is an application of covered on the channel a couple of times so ill leave a link to libreoffice the whole suite but this is libreoffice draw so what we need to do is we need to open our pdf this particular pdf file inside libreoffice lets just close it out so that we dont get conflicts that another application is using that particular pdf and then go to file open the particular pdf that we want to reduce the text or block out the text from click on open and this is our text so we want to potentially lets say redact

Remove every instance of a word or phrase. Select Tools Redact Redact Text Images. Click the drop-down menu and choose Find Text Redact. In the Search dialog box, search the current PDF or all PDFs in another location. Pick your preference: Click Search Remove Text.
Step 1: Redact content with the Highlight function Open your Word file, select the text you want to redact, and click the arrow next to the Highlight icon, then choose black color.
Click on Tools Redact; then choose the texts you want to redact. Click on the Edit tab, select Redact text and images, then drag the pointer over the text you want to redact. Select the text or image you want to redact and right-click the click on Redact.
Heres how: Open the PDF file with data you must censor. Select the Security tab from the main ribbon. Click Mark Redaction. Select the text you wish to redact, which places a red border around the text. Click Apply Redaction on the Security ribbon to black out the text.
In Word, select FileOpen, then open the text-redacted text (. txt) version. You may then reformat the text however you need and save you work as the final-redacted version. Be sure you do not change any text, just the formatting.
How to black out text in a PDF file. Open your PDF in docHubs Acrobat online services. Select Tools, then Redact. Select text. Either double-click to select the text or drag to select lines of text. Apply redaction. Once youve selected the text you want to remove, click Save to apply the changes and save the document.
In Word, select FileOpen, then open the text-redacted text (. txt) version. You may then reformat the text however you need and save you work as the final-redacted version. Be sure you do not change any text, just the formatting.
Go into the Tools menu and select Redact. Choose Select A File and locate your PDF. Select the redaction type you need from the Mark For Redaction drop-down menu. Text Images works for words and graphics, Page blacks out entire pages, and Find Text lets you find specific phrases.
I would simply write something like Blah blah [redacted] blah, as a solid block in many cases is seen as redacted/censored text of a certain length.
Use scissors to cut out all the text you need to redact. Make sure you find every mention of the sensitive information in the paper document and cut it out. NOTE: You should then shred the paper clippings to ensure the cut-out information cannot be traced or found.
