To remove the large space above footnotes in Word, we first of all go to the Home tab and in the Paragraph section we activate the formatting symbols. Because now we can see what is causing the huge empty space, its actually a bunch of empty paragraphs before the footnotes. To remove this extra space, we go to the View tab and activate the Draft view. Then we go to the References tab and click on Show Footnotes. In the bottom window, we now open the dropdown and select Footnote Separator. And as you can see here we have all these empty paragraphs, that we can simply delete. Once that is done, we go the View tab again reset the view to the standard Print layout and with that, the space above the footnotes is gone. Add or change the fill color of a table cell Select the cells in which you want to add or change the fill color. On the Table Design tab, click the arrow next to Shading. Click the color you want from Theme Colors or Standard Colors, or click More Fill Colors.
Open your document in Microsoft Word. Go to the Review tab at the top. In the Comments section, select the Show Markup dropdown menu. Uncheck the Comments option to hide all comments in your document.
Remove the Default Space Between Paragraphs: Set your cursor to the location of the paragraph spacing. Click on the Line and Paragraph Spacing icon in the Home Ribbon. Select Remove Extra Space to remove the extra space.
To Redact a few words or phrases Open the file you want to redact and have the file on your screen. Highlight a word or phase to redact. Bring up the Redactor ribbon and click Redact Selection.
You can quickly add an outline level and make part of your document collapsible by adding a heading using Words built-in styles. After applying the heading style, youll see a small triangle when you move your cursor over the heading. Click the triangle to collapse the body text and subheadings below it.
To use the redaction tool in Word, you first need to select the text or images that you want to redact. Then, go to the Review tab in the ribbon and click on the Redact button. This will open the Redaction pane on the right side of the window.
Add an outline, shadow, reflection, or glow text effect Select your text or WordArt. On the Home tab, select. Text Effects. Choose the effect you want. For more choices, point to Outline, Shadow, Reflection, or Glow, and then select the effect to use.
Open your Word file, select the text you want to redact, and click the arrow next to the Highlight icon, then choose black color. This action will camouflage the content with the shading. Hint: If the text is of a color other than black, you should use a similar color, so it is not visible.
