Does Purging Stone remove Dark Sigils?

The Purging stone will set your Hollowing to 0. You will still have Dark Sigils, so each time you die you earn 1 Hollowing point per Dark Sigil. Using the Firekeepers option, you can permanently remove Dark Sigils. Doing so you will acquire less Hollowing for each death.

There are two ways to get into the Dark Aether. The first way is by obtaining a Sigil. The only way to get this is by doing the small easter egg to open the portal at F6.
