[Music] and now for the moment of truth alexa lights off [Music] oh yeah pitch black baby what if i told you if you could darken your room you would drastically improve the image quality of your projection screen in this video i did just that i darkened my theater room windows ive got a double sliding glass door and im going to show you exactly how to do it do it super inexpensive and it was really really easy to so lets jump into it alright so the next thing were going to do is this window tint its kind of like a static clean its called velamax im going to it on both of these sliding glass doors because as you can see weve got a lot of light bleed definitely these blackout curtains have reduced the light in here tremendously but theres still some that kind of bleeds through so im hoping by adding this on the other side of the curtains that itll kind of take care of any remaining light especially up top when i turn the lights off it kind of comes through the very top open

If light filtering curtains are used without shades, blinds or drapes, they only provide moderate levels of privacy. Light filtering curtains do not block light, which may make them unsuitable for bedrooms or home theaters.
Sheer fabrics allow for the most light to enter a room, but they offer the least amount of privacy. On the other end of the spectrum, blackout fabrics block nearly all light from entering a room, and they provide the most privacy.
Do room darkening shades provide privacy at night? Room darkening shades provide similar benefits to blackout shades by increasing privacy during the day and night, provide energy efficiency, thus reducing electric bills, block noise, and protect furniture and floors from sun damage.
Yes for sheer day curtains, people can see through your curtains at night when lights are turned on. This is because of the lighting contrast from outside (dark) and inside (bright).
When considering whether to purchase light filtering or room darkening blinds, many homeowners ask, Can you see through light filtering blinds at night? The answer is, thankfully, no. While onlookers may be able to make out diffuse shadows of figures crossing the room, light filtering blinds are not see-through.
Since you cant see through blackout curtains at all, they increase privacy better than other curtain types. Blackout curtains block sun rays and therefore protect surfaces within the room from fading.
It depends. Light filtering includes various levels of light control, so what really impacts whether or not you can see through light filtering shades at night is the openness factor (opacity) of your window treatments. Low levels of light filtering will allow more light to enter from outside.
PROVIDE PRIVACY: Since light cannot pass through these curtains, it is impossible to tell which room is lit and therefore occupied. Not a shadow appears on the curtains for outsiders to guess whats happening beyond. If dressing your windows for privacy is the goal, theres nothing better than these curtains.
