Certain days of the year are designated as Blockout Dates for those who have specific types of Theme Park Tickets. For example, Blockout dates apply for certain Annual Passes. If you are simply purchasing a 5-day Theme Park Admission Ticket, you will not be affected at all by Blackout dates.
Magic Key pass blockout dates are dates on which a pass type is not valid for park admission and applicable Magic Key holders may not make or hold any park reservations.
Just like an Annual Passholder, Cast Members effectively have two layers of blackouts an actual blockout calendar, and the Disney Park Pass reservation system.
When an airline or credit card touts no blackout dates, theyre not claiming that you can use your points on any flight; it simply means that there are no dates that initially have 0 seats for point redemptions.
Blackout date is a phrase used primarily in the travel and tourism industry to denote specific dates where rewards, negotiated rates, extended stay discounts, and other travel promotions are not available. Travelers may run into blackout date restrictions when: ● Booking hotel rooms. ● Finding event space.
If you have an Annual Pass with blockout dates, like the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, Disney Pirate Pass, or Disney Sorcerer Pass available to Florida residents, your Annual Pass will not gain you entrance to the Theme Parks on a day that is blocked out.
The reason they offer discount passes is so they can get their parks filled up in the slow periods (they make money in other areas than just admission tickets). The Blackout Dates are days that the parks know for sure will be packed. So on those days they dont want to give any discounts. Pretty much that simple.
Blackout dates are dates when travel rewards and other special discounts/promotions are not available. These dates typically fall on or around major holidays or other peak travel seasons. Time off requests from work may not be available during those times as well.
