Rub Gently With a Damp Cloth Many fresh scuff marks can be removed by simply rubbing the mark with a slightly damp soft, white cloth. Its always best to give it a try to avoid damaging paint. After dipping the cloth in water, apply a bit of pressure and, if the mark is removed, buff the area with a dry white cloth.
Use a rubbing compound (which costs about $10), also known as scratch repair. Apply it with a microfiber cloth, and use circular motions to buff until you cant see the scratch any longer. Polish it. Polish the area with car polish (which costs about $15), using circular motions.
It simply takes a little elbow greaseand something mildly abrasiveto remove them. All you have to do is wet the plate or bowl with a little water, then add an abrasive to scour the surface. This could be baking soda, cream of tartar, or a cleaning product like Bar Keepers Friend or Bon Ami.
Lets start with the first solution. Method 1: Use Toothpaste to make scratches less visible. This solution will work best if the scratches are not too deep. Method 2: Use Watercolor Nail polish for light scratches. Method 3: User dry baking soda to fade the scratches.
In entryways and hallways, heels and hard-soled shoes scrape the floor leaving behind these dark marks. In other more inconspicuous areas, you may find black scuff marks from ladders, furniture, rubber wheels of cleaning equipment, and other objects with rubber bottoms.
Small, superficial scratches can probably be buffed out, but deep cracks cant be treated this way and probably require professional repair. You can use the toothpaste method to buff out small scratches or try a trusty Mr. Clean Magic Eraserits one of the most effective at-home tools for removing light scratches.
In a large pot, combine 3 cups vinegar, 4 cups water and 2 Tbsp citric acid; bring to a boil. Set a Corelle dish in the boiling mixture for five minutes (the water must cover the dish). Once dry, your dishes will look brand new. If the black marks are scratched into the glass, the marks are permanent.
