Answer: Make a photocopy of the document you dont want to redact the original. On the photocopy, use a black marker to conceal the PII that you want to redact. Photocopy the redacted document. Save the 1st photocopy (with the black ink redaction) with the original, to show the redaction effort.
Find and remove hidden content (Acrobat Pro) Open the PDF in Acrobat, and from the global bar do any of the following: Select Sanitize document. Make sure that the check boxes are selected only for the items that you want to remove from the document. Select Remove to delete selected items from the file and select OK.
Cut out the text that needs to be redacted. Use scissors to cut out all the text you need to redact. Make sure you find every mention of the sensitive information in the paper document and cut it out. NOTE: You should then shred the paper clippings to ensure the cut-out information cannot be traced or found.
The free version of docHub will let you black out sections of a PDF, but the premium tool unlocks more features. Sign up for your free trial (unless you already have a premium account) Open your PDF document. Select Tools Redact From here, just select the text you want to black out. Hit Redact
Select the Preview button to view the hidden text. Select the Show Preview button at the bottom of the dialogue box. Select Show Hidden Text from the preview of the document. You can scroll through the pages of your PDF using the double arrow buttons on the gray Acrobat navigation bar.
You can undo text that you blacked out in Acrobat by following these steps: Click the Edit tab at the top of the screen. Select Redact Text Images. Remove redactions.
How to uncover blacked-out text in a PDF. Open the PDF in Acrobat. Go to the Document menu. Click Examine Document. docHub will then scan the PDF and give you a checklist of items that you are able to remove by clicking on them. Choose the Preview button to see the hidden text.
Can I remove a strikethrough in PDF text easily? Choose the text with a strikethrough. Click the text. Press Delete on the keyboard to remove it. Save the new file by clicking File Save As.
