Try using Microsoft Teams in a web browser. If the black screen issue doesnt occur in the web browser, then its likely a problem with the desktop app. Additionally, you can try clearing the MS Teams cache. To avoid misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user support forum.
You can choose a background setting before you join a meeting. In the Teams app, tap the Calendar tab. Find the meeting you want and tap Join. In the pre-join screen, tap the Change background or Background effects. button. You can do the following: After you make your choice, tap Done. Tap Join now to join the meeting.
On Android / iOS During a Call: Tap on the screen to bring up the meeting controls. More Options: Tap on More, then select Virtual Background. Select Blur: Choose the Blur option to apply a blurred background to your video.
Information Once youve entered your video call, click the three dots for more options at the top of the screen. Select Apply background effects from the drop-down menu. A background settings window will appear. Select Blur and then Apply to blur your background.
There are a few reasons why you cant blur your background in MS Teams. Here are some of them: Youre using your companys MS Teams account, and the IT (Information Technology) administrator has disabled this feature. Your computer system is outdated.
Change your background before a meeting starts While youre setting up your video and audio before joining a meeting, turn on your camera and select Effects and avatars. Video effects. Select Blur. to blur your background. Select a Teams background to apply it to your video feed, or upload and apply your own.
