FTM is "Field Test Mode".
If the device is in FTM mode, press the Volume up key then Power key to reboot. Or try removing the battery to turn the device off. Reinstall the battery and then turn the phone back on and you should be out of FTM.
You will need to rapidly click Volume Up button and Power button together a few times until you get past Android (No Command) image. You will then be able to get into Boot loader, Recovery mode. Select Factory reset.
