Description. Password policies are used to enforce the creation and use of password complexity. Your IAM password policy must prevent reuse of passwords. Each password should be brand new to increase security, especially from a brute force attack.

To update a users console password, click on the user name for that user. On Summary page, click on Security credentials tab.
The Enforce password history policy setting determines the number of unique new passwords that must be associated with a user account before an old password can be reused. Password reuse is an important concern in any organization. Many users want to reuse the same password for their account over a long period of time.
