so I can ask to be known again why do I start off my logo designs in black when in this day and age itamp;#39;s really much cheaper to print in full-color and things like fax machines and photo copiers are modern as well and you get some color faxes but really hood faxes these days anyway it used to be that your logo needed to be reproducible in one color or black because of those technologies if you had a logo which had a lot of gradients which maybe you relied on those gradients to form the shape of your logo if you then faxed that or photocopied it in black and white your logo could just become a blob but I asked a design my logos in black not because of the the fax thing or photocopying I design in black because it means that weamp;#39;re focused on the shape on the form of the logo rather than being influenced by color at the early concept stage by designing the logo in black to begin with we make sure that the balance and the shape of the logo is perfect for what weamp;#39;re

Black # Black is the strongest of the neutral colors. On the positive side, its commonly associated with power, elegance, and formality. On the negative side, it can be associated with evil, death, and mystery. Black is the traditional color of mourning in many Western countries.
Black suggests power, authority, seriousness and presents itself as very modern and polished. Its often the choice for well-established technology and information giants. Strong brands like Apple, Sony, Motorola, the New York Times, ABC, BBC, and others have consistently used black logos over the years.

The color black, with its symbolism of power, elegance, and exclusivity, has become a cornerstone in the branding strategies of luxury brands. It encapsulates the essence of luxury, helping these brands create a distinctive and powerful visual identity.
Black. Considered the absence of colors, black can still be a powerful color to include in branding. Black is traditionally seen as a symbol of professionalism and seriousness. However, it can also be used to elicit feelings of elegance, substance, and power.
Orange: Affordable, creative, light-hearted, and youthful. Orange combines the effect of red and yellow, exciting, and may drive appetite. Green: Healing, tranquility, environmental, fresh. Green represents vitality and renewal, and is eco-frinedly and soothing. Blue: Calming, confidence, dignity, loyalty, trustworthy.
When not to use Black in your Branding. If your brand has a light and airy look and feel, Black may not be your best option. And combining too much Black can have the opposite effect and make everything feel heavy, depressing and even dark and gloomy.
