In this video, were going to look at how you can enable Quotes for your organization, add the quotes related list to a page layout, and how to customize a Quote template. First we need to make sure Quotes are enabled in our Salesforce Classic org. Were going to use the Quick Find box to locate Quotes. Select Quotes Settings And click Enable and Save. Once weve enabled Quotes we want to make sure that the Quotes related list is available to our users on any of the page layouts they use. This org has 2 custom page layouts: One for business to business opportunities, and one for business to consumer deals. Theres also the generic opportunity layout that is provided by Salesforce If you have multiple opportunity page layouts, you should add them to each layout, so your salespeople can create quotes on any type of opportunity. In the template editor, drag the text or image fields from the page layout palette and set it on the template where you want to display them. Type the text into the field and format the text as per your requirements, and click on Ok. Go back to Quote Templates and activate your current template.
To modify a quote template in salesforce go to Set up. Now Go to Customize=Quotes=Settings. When Settings in Quotes are selected a new window will be opened where we have to select the check box to enable quotes in salesforce. Select Save Button.

The maximum number of characters that you can use in the quotes template Text/Image Field is 32,000. This number includes the hidden HTML characters that are used to format text. Sometimes a field doesnt appear on the quote templates palette or on a PDF thats created from a template.
From Setup, enter Templates in the Quick Find box, then select Quote Templates (Lightning Experience) or Templates under Quotes (Salesforce Classic). Click New, and then select a template, such as Standard Template , on which to base your new template. Give your new template a name, and then click Save.
Create and Manage Quotes Click New Quote on the Quotes related list on an opportunity. The Subtotal , Discount , Total Price , and Grand Total fields show values from the opportunity. Complete the fields. Save your changes. A unique quote number is added.
Manage customized quote templates In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Objects Quotes. Click the Customized quote templates tab. To edit, clone, or delete the customized quote template, hover over the template and click the Actions dropdown menu, then select Edit, Clone, or Delete.
Create, Preview, and Activate Quote Templates. Add Rich Text to a Quote Template. Add a List to a Quote Template. Add an Image to a Quote Template. Add a Totals Section to a Quote Template. Add a Signature Block to a Quote Template.
