Line 14 asks you to add up line 12 and 13 for the total value of your deductions from the previous three lines. Line 15 is where you finally find your taxable income, which is your adjusted income (line 11) minus line 14. If your taxable income is zero or less, write zero on this line.
if Line 10 is zero (or blank), you had no tax liability.
It is never acceptable to white-out any information on any kind of official or legal documents. If you want to alter a document, mark a line through the incorrect information, write in the correct information above or next to it the correct information and initial the changes.

You will not necessarily have anything to add to some of the lines, simply leave them blank if they dont apply. If you did not receive a form 1099, or other federal form reporting that a certain type of income was paid to you, you likely did not have that type of income.
