okay this is why you shouldnamp;#39;t use the marker to protect text in the mark-up tool if you have a photo that you want to black out some text to protect someoneamp;#39;s identity or something and you go to edit and then you go to the mark-up tool which is at the top here but itamp;#39;s also at the bottom for iPhone pluses itamp;#39;s the circle with the three dots mark up you shouldnamp;#39;t use this marker here to block out text because that can be recovered using Photoshop so Iamp;#39;m gonna hit undo this is not the way to do it and the reason is because the marker can be sort of erased in Photoshop itamp;#39;s fairly easy to recover and Iamp;#39;ll put up an example here the one on the left has the marker and the right is using Photoshop to recover the text if you zoom in on that itamp;#39;s pretty easy to read the next example shows the block outbox that we used right after this slide and thatamp;#39;s that that canamp;#39;t be recovered so use that one so

Find and remove hidden content (Acrobat Pro) Open the PDF in Acrobat, and from the global bar do any of the following: Select Sanitize document. Make sure that the check boxes are selected only for the items that you want to remove from the document. Select Remove to delete selected items from the file and select OK.

This can be one of the easiest ways to redact a PDF without docHub Pro. Open your chosen PDF in Preview. In the top right, there should be a Markup icon, click it. A reminder will appear in a dialog box, requesting you save a copy of your PDF, click OK. Select the text you want to redact. You can undo text that you blacked out in Acrobat by following these steps: Click the Edit tab at the top of the screen. Select Redact Text Images. Remove redactions.
