The document area is the area where the user types the text in a Word document. It is a blank section of a word processor. It allows the user to create content.
Select the text box (square handles appear around the edges) and press the F2 key. The text cursor should appear within the box and you should be able to type in it.
Click on the Text icon. on the Drawing toolbar. If the toolbar with the text icon is not visible, choose View Toolbars Drawing. Click and drag to draw a box for the text on the slide.
That being said, you can do a lot with Tools Options OpenOffice Appearance , where you can, for example, set the background to a page to grey or black. See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students. Remember: Always save your Writer files as .
Using Fill Format mode: Open the Styles and Formatting Window and single-click the style to be applied. Click the Fill Format mode icon. To set the style for a paragraph, page, or frame, hover the mouse over the element and click once. To exit Fill Format mode, just click the Fill Format mode icon, or press the Esc key.
If the slide layout already includes textboxes, simply click on the textbox to add text. To add a text box to the slide, choose textbox option from the main toolbar and draw the text box with the mouse. Select the text that will be formatted by highlighting the text on the slide.
