hey guys another day another video just wanted to share something with you I run into this a lot and whenever you have a problem with ink coming out on paper you first thing you think is that your printhead is clogged but if it wasnt clogged before and then you know a few pages into changing an ink cartridge or a few of them you see that it is then most likely the problem is just like the one we have here in this printer so I was able to get this courage carrier over here when I opened it up you can see the problem right the tabs are on all of the cartridges and this is a new printer that somebody bought and never was able to use properly because when you have these tabs on on the printer and for some reason Epson has them like this here when theyre packaged thats why theyre maybe a little bit harder to see and theyre not on top anymore like they used to be there on the side so make sure you pull them off and that thatll let the air here thats what we did we just opened up an a

For Windows: Go to Control panel and then Devices and Printers. Find and right-click on your printer and click on Printing Preferences. Go to Quick Setup tab and then select Grayscale. Select Plain Paper as your media type option. Click Apply.
Ink is required in all cartridges to print and to perform periodic servicing to prevent clogs and other print quality issues. There is no way to bypass this feature.
Go to your computer and click “Print” from the file that you wanted to print. Click on “Properties” and then the “Color” tab next. Select the “Print in grayscale” option by clicking on its checkbox. You can now start printing in black and white.
If you the wrong ink cartridge in your printer, you will likely receive an error message on your printer display that prevents you from using the printer. Printers are smart and most will be able to tell right away if the wrong cartridge is installed.

Go to “Paper / quality” tab and make sure “Black & White” option is selected. Now click on “Advanced” button - check for “Print in grayscale” option. Make sure it is turned on. Apply and save the settings.
When color ink is expended and black ink still remains, you can continue printing for a short time using only black ink. However, you should replace the expended ink cartridge(s) as soon as possible.
Identifying Software Problems Check you have the latest drivers installed for your printer, try uninstalling and reinstalling your printer drivers or try changing the driver settings (adjusting the paper settings has been known to solve the problem).

An empty cartridge can damage and clog a printer's print heads. At best you'll have to replace the cartridge and do some maintenance; but you could end up damaging the print head so badly you'll need to replace it.
