Black-ink users think with their heads, have a more dominant personality, and like to be in charge of their lives. They can be a little uptight and somewhat reserved in showing emotions. Red-ink people like being the center of attention. They are energetic, emotionally passionate, and enjoy the limelight.
Physicians are encouraged to write in black ink, so that the notes are capable of being photocopied. Some colored inks can run when they become wet.
Generally we can't use blue ink, but our absolute necessities include a black pen, a red pen and a yellow highlighter. Black pen for any paper charting/documenting, red for allergies and important notes to yourself and then the yellow highlighter again for any paper charting that is done in the medication book.
Ink – For nurses' notes, black ink is recommended. Look for an ink that delivers bold, smudge-proof lines that are fade-resistant.
For hard copy/paper records facilities should document in blue or black ink only. No other colored ink should be used in the event that any part of the record needs to be copied. The ink should be permanent (no erasable or water-soluble ink should be used). Never use a pencil to document in the medical record.
They Can Be Painful - Since they require such a large amount of ink and often cover sensitive areas like the ribs or spine, blackout tattoos can be quite painful. If you have a low pain threshold, then this might not be the style for you.
“Depending on the client, their pain threshold, and the piece, the tattoo could take anywhere from 1 session to 3 back-to-back sessions,” Roxx says.
While a typical tattoo takes somewhere between three and eight sessions to fade and be completely removed, blackout tattoos could require more like 15 plus sessions with a laser technician.
Blackout tattoos are a type of tattoo that involves tattooing an area of the body completely black. Although many people get blackout tattoos as a standalone piece, they are also a method of covering up unwanted tattoos.
Ideally, all entries in the medical record should be made in black ink. This would make it simple to produce a photoreproduction and ensure that the subsequent copies would be legible.
