The 2019 image of the black hole by the Event Horizon Telescope was the first time ever the black holeamp;#39;s shadow was seen. So this picture was taken by combining radio telescopes all over the world to work as a single instrument that has angular resolution of a telescope that would have the size of the Earth basically. When the Metshovi radio telescope is participating in these measurements, we use our 14 meter dish and the telescope collects the radio waves, focuses them into something called a receiver, where these radio waves are amplified.
