Contact us
After clicking on the Security tab, push the Click and Redact button. Enter the specific text you want to redact. The program will display all the instances of the relevant text it finds. You can click on Mark Selected Results for Redaction.
Open the PDF that contains the text you want to black out. Go to the Tools menu and select the Redact tool to open the Secondary Tool Bar immediately above the PDF. It includes the Redaction Tools. Choose Mark for Redaction and select OK when prompted by the pop-up window.
Redact sensitive content (Acrobat Pro) In the Edit menu, choose Redact a PDF. Choose All tools Redact a PDF. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact. Select the text or image in a PDF, and choose Redact text in the floating menu.

Heres how to black out text in a PDF: Open your PDF in docHub. Select Tools, then Redact. Select text. Either double-click to select the text or drag to select lines of text. Apply redaction. Once youve selected the text you want to remove, click Save to apply the changes and save the document.
How to redact a PDF on a Mac using Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. It looks like a filled in square. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
Open your PDF document with Preview. Navigate to the Tool menu and select Redact, or access the Show Markup Toolbar and click the Redact icon. A warning prompt will appear, click OK. Use your cursor to drag and redact the text with black marks. While editing, you can modify the redaction as needed.
To protect your information, learn how to redact in Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
