If you want it to fade to black (slowly transition) you would use Fade to:. Transitions are on the right side and in all caps. Other then that you can use whatever stylistically works for you and the script. check out and read some scripts from your favorite films.
From the movie industry, where it was customary to end a scene or session of filming by closing off light to the camera, sometimes for dramatic effect, but often as a practical measure.

A fade in is an opening shot or transition technique film editors use to ease viewers into new imagery, rather than using a sudden cut from scene to scene.
For each you will use SUPER: before the text that should appear (text appears in quotes). For text over a Black Screen, write the scene heading: BLACK SCREEN. For example: BLACK SCREEN: SUPER: It is the year 2022.
FADE OUT or FADE TO BLACK is for the end of the script. Writing THE END in place of either of those will work as well. DISSOLVE TO is the proper transition to use within the script, if needed. Its a common mistake, but a very annoying one.
FADE TO BLACK is just what it sounds like: the image fades to total black and the screen goes dark. Often this is done at the very end of a script (but is not necessary to write), but can be done to give a sense of finality to a scene or sequence.
Add the fade to black transition: Go to the Effects tab type dip to black into the search bar drag and drop the Dip to Black effect between two clips on the timeline. The dip to black effect will be shown on the right side of the clip.
A fade-in effect begins with a solid color (Movie Maker supports both black and white) and then fades into your video. A fade-out effect begins with the video and then fades into the solid color, again either black or white.
Add the fade to black transition: Go to the Effects tab type dip to black into the search bar drag and drop the Dip to Black effect between two clips on the timeline. The dip to black effect will be shown on the right side of the clip.
