How do I black out words in a document?

Blacking Out Text Manually Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the ab highlighter icon in the Font section. Click the black box in the drop-down menu. Click the black line below the highlighter icon. Repeat this process of highlighting with black to cover text.

Is there a redact function in Word?

Redaction Tool For Microsoft Word To use the redaction tool in Word, you first need to select the text or images that you want to redact. Then, go to the Review tab in the ribbon and click on the Redact button. This will open the Redaction pane on the right side of the window.

Is there an OCR function in Word?

Unfortunately Word cannot do OCR. This feature is not available. You can use OneNote since it can perform true OCR on image files.
